Agios Georgios
This quiet resort in beautiful countryside is just the place for lovers of a quiet restful holiday.
The narrow approach roads mean that heavy demands of the tourist trade have not spoiled the natural beauty of this delightful bay.
Scenically Agios Georgios north is one of the gems of the lovely north- west coast of Corfu with its wide sweeping sandy beach and horse-shoe shaped bay protected by high cliffs.
It is set on level land at the mouth of a wide wooded valley, and consists of private houses, a few small hotels, restaurants, tavernas and some apartments spread around the bay.
Behind them is a countryside of fields, and wooded hills much loved by walkers, with the groves of ancient olive trees broken by tall cypress trees.
Certainly not known for vigorous nightlife, Agios Georgios suits many visitors from families with young children, to couples and individuals of all ages who enjoy restful holidays in beautiful countryside, while at the same time providing endless fun for the kids on the beach or around the hotel pools.
Numerous water sports are available including wind- surfing, boating, and scuba diving with tuition.
