(Travel Time from Airport 60 mins)

This picturesque resort set beneath the rugged hills on the Island's west coast. Paleokastritsas has breathtakingly beautiful views and startlingly crystal clear waters,
and backed by sheer cliffs covered in olive groves and cypress trees.
Visitors both foreign and local visit Paleokastritsas to enjoy the spectacular beauty of the scenery each year.
Paleokastritsas started life as a small fishing village as did many of the coastal resorts dotted along Corfu’s Coast line.
Towering above Paleokastritsas sits a charming 13th century monastery built on top of a cliff in a most idyllic setting.
Paleokastritsas has a good selection of water sports including Scuba diving which can be booked locally, or you could hire a motor boat from the harbour explore many
of the nearby secluded coves and beaches which are inaccessible from land.
Boat trips are available with a good assortment of destinations and places of interest, or why not take a trip on a “Glass bottomed boat” then you get the best of both worlds,
sun above you whilst you’re watching the aquatic life below.
You will often locals fishing in the harbour this can be very relaxing to watch or you could give it a try yourself, hand fishing lines can be purchased from the local gift shops.
Paleokastritsas has a good mix of super markets, gift shops, bars and tavernas with a few car hire and scooter hire shops.
The beaches at Paleokastritsas are shingle / sand and the waters are startlingly clear excellent for snorkelling, scuba diving and swimming. Paleokastritsas picturesque
scenery combined with spectacular views makes this an ideal location for all the budding Artist and photographers amongst us.
