You can get to Vidos Island via the ferry that runs from the Old Corfu Town. Come through the arches, to the Old Port area, and look for the Ferry Board. The cost is approximately €1 each way. There is a Bar/Restaurant on the island. Some take a picnic, but various snacks and many drinks can be brought from the Bar, so it is worth leaving the luggage behind and enjoy the stroll around Vidos Island.

Mouse Island. Most resorts will do a boat trip from that resort. Check with the local Travel Shops. Or again, you can make your way to Corfu Town, and take the ferry from their out to Mouse Ilsand.

One of the islands situated near Corfu Town, is known as Pontikonisi (Greek meaning "mouse island"). The small is very green with lots of trees, and of course the monastery. Pontikonisi is home of the monastery of Pantokrator. It is the white stone staircase of the monastery that when viewed from afar gives the impression of a mouse tail which lent the island its name: 'mouse island'. There is another island worth a visit for its history, and that is the island of Vidos, which can be visited by taking a boat from the Old Port of Corfu Town, cost around €1 each way. Tranquil, secluded, and beautiful. It has a Taverna Snack Bar run by an English lady.
