A good idea would be to chat to other passengers on the aircraft during the flight, and/or on landing to find out who is going to Paleokastritsa. I am sure if there is another couple with the same thoughts, would be glad to share a taxi.

The only reference I can find to any festivals in Paleokastritsa is from the link below. There is one in July, which think is the one you refer to, and another in August which is the festival of the Virgin Mary. If I find anything else I will let you know.

Couldn't find any specific Festivals for September but one Site said there are many celebrations in different villages. I can only assume that these are Minor Saint Days or Name Days as they are called in Greece whereas 24 August is common to all of Greece and celebrates the Assumption of The Virgin Mary.
