In the past I beleive that previous increases of all Taxes have not been passed on to the consumer, as it does in other countries, and this has been part of parcel of the present problem, along with those in business, such as tourism and others have not being paying their own taxes or at least to the levels they should have, thus this major crisis has fallen on Greece. The increases in VAT and Fuel Taxes will have to be past on, therefore we will see increases come the start of the season. It will be interesting to see how much they will be come May, compared to what they were at the end of the 2009 season. The lack in ensuring that everyone pays their taxes accordingly is a big problem as we know.
