Hi Lucinda.

Re your message, here is the information that maybe of help to you. The first link PALEOKASTRITSA GUIDE is full of information such as places to eat, bars, accommodation, directions and maps. This is another map of PALEOKASTRITSA MAP.

In addition to the first link, here is a few more places to eat within the resort. PALEOKASTRITSA RESTAURANTS.

If you wish to hire a car, you maybe advised to hire prior to arrival in Corfu if you need it for your whole stay. This can be done by entering into Google or other search engine, Corfu Car Hire, and you will be shown a list of various car hire locations who can deliver to the airport, and pick up from the airport. If you have transfers to and from the airport, you can arrange to have the car delivered to the hotel/accommodation you are staying at. Alternatively, book locally from within the resort or at your hotel. The list is endless, and full of choice and offers. Travel shops are dotted around the resorts, usually along the Main Road. Your accommodation will direct you.

Exchange of money can also be sought through accommodations, local banks, as well as Travel Shops and Exchange Shops with all good rates. Some Car Hire Shops also do Money Exchanges.

Places to visit are many, and you can either do excursions using the services of the Travel Shop, or as you have decided by hiring a car. First place on anyones list is Corfu Town. It is a must, and should be visited by everyone for the shopping, and an evening out for dinner and drinks. The best time to visit is the evening. Stroll around the alley ways and lanes, shopping for lace, leather, earthenware, jewellry, and much more. Followed by a meal in one of the many traditional Greek Tavernas and Restaurants. Then relax on the Liston and have a nice cool drink, watching the world go by before heading back to your resort. Why not have a day visit to Aqualand. One of Corfu's wateparks, and the largest. A park full of water fun for all the family regardless of age. Complete with pools, slides, shoots, rides and much more. Places to eat and drink, with plenty of choices for all. A good day out for all. Visit the Achilleon Palace, the place built for Keiser Willhelms lover Elizabeth. Also used as the Casino in the Bond film, For your eyes only.

There are many original villages that have been rebuilt over the years such as Old Perithia which has a number of local Greek hostelries, Kafeneons, and really gives the authentic Greek village. Visit the many other resorts around the island. And finally one cannot forget the many beaches.

Boat trips are available from most resorts, as is the hiring of your own boat for the day. Do remember to find out where exactly you can go, and what time you have to be back.

If you have anymore questions, please do ask via this section. Thank you for your enquiries.
