Village Festival

For those visiting Roda in June, and specifically around the 26th, will be able to enjoy the festival in the village. The festival is called Lampataris, and is also well known in other villages. The festival of St John is celebrated by villagers jumping through fire rings wearing Olive branch headdress, and ask for the blessing of St John. As usual at many festivals there will be plenty of food and drink. Anyone visiting Roda at this time, the forum would appreciate any photographs of the festival if attending. Have fun.
