Should be interesting to see what happens tomorrow, but with what is going on today in business, the exchanging of money, and government spending, I cannot forsee too much change.

The BBC News Market Index show the exchange rate at 4.30pm standing at €1.1077.

Not sure for definate Roger, but that maybe the Business Rate. At my bank this morning I got Euros at the following exchange rate:

£1 = €1.0798

€1 = 0.9260

At the Post Office, for comparison, they were offering:

£1 = €1.0911

€1 = £0.9165

I took the Banks rate, because of the no commission on buying and return, plus other rates. The Post Office charged on returning.

I obviously got fed a load of bull s**t at the Post Office then. I can remember getting money back commission free before, but did not query it. Thought it might have been a change of policy.

Today the Lloyds TSB rate is:

£1 = €1.0868

€1 = $0.9201

Post Office is:

£1 = €1.0970

€1 = £0.9115

Thomas Cook have a printable voucher on their site, you get an extra 1% on the rate. Check your local Post Office first then nip round to see what you will get at TC, every cent counts!!
